Our fish oil has a national and international origin.
Depending on the fishing grounds, the sort of fish, the period of the year…, the fish oil will have specific characteristics which will determine its later use.
Since we rely on a primary sector activity -the extraction of fish oil- we are closely bound to the fishing sector, and all its issues (fishing campaigns, biological campaigns). All these questions are at an international level, so that there is a strong globalisation of the market.
The fish oil is distributed in a wide sector of our industry. It ranges from the manufacture of fish feed (aquiculture), where fish oil has become an essential raw material, to the manufacture of pharmacological and cosmetic products, the Chemical industry: production of painting and synthetic resins, products for tanning, detergents, candles; the metallurgic industry, the textile industry... |
