Production Process

Taking into account that our raw materials are classified as category 3 products (unsuitable for human consumption), according to Standard 1774/2002 CE, our Managing System A.P.P.C.C. guarantees that the quality does not get worse after all the processes used to obtain our products.

The production process of the fish oil in Industrias Afines S.L. begins when we receive the raw material in our processing plant, and it ends when we send the final product to our clients.

During the whole process there are several phases which include exhaustive quality controls:
  • The first taking of samples when receiving the raw material. A first analysis is put into practice to determine the quality.
  • The oil is loaded on a tank where a cleaning process is carried out by means of filters which prevent the access of impurities into the tanks.
  • The raw oil is stored in the external tanks, where it is selected and prepared to go to the industrial sector or to the food and agriculture / oil-chemistry sector.
  • From these external storing tanks the oil is pumped to reactor n 1 (located inside the refinery). At this moment, the refining process of our fish oils gets started and it is followed by four phases:
    • Phase 1: Neutralisation
    • Phase 2: Bleaching
    • Phase 3: Filtering
    • Phase 4: Deodorisation
  • Once the process is completed, the oil is transferred to supply tanks. Afterwards, it is distributed in the four tanks for processed material, according to the different sectors.
